This bridge encapsulation scaffold was designed and installed by Alphasafe in the Hunter Valley Region of NSW Australia to carry out essential blasting, painting, and maintenance of a 110 year old bridge.  To overcome stringent weight restrictions on the bridge structure we developed a scaffold solution that combined Layher Allround steel scaffolding and Layher Allround aluminium scaffoldings.  To achieve the necessary weight our scaffold could only be 10m long and would typically of had to be dismantled and reinstalled.  To eliminate this we developed an ingenious scaffold solution that was mobile and that could be repositioned each time in only 8 hours.  Thus greatly reducing working at height time, risks, and delays to the project schedule.
